La Brique
La Brique (The Brick) is a work designed to evoke the identity of a rural municipality that has managed to forge a strong link between its history and its contemporary life.
The container, which serves as a protective shell (the ‘casing’ or ‘setting’), is treated in a raw, rough manner, using hard, weathered materials, dented and marked by time.
This represents a rural community steeped in history, with some of its residents having been settled for several generations, acting as guarantors of stability and values.
Conversely, the more fragile content (the ‘jewel’) was conceived and handled with more delicacy and lightness.
It reinterprets the community’s signage in a more artistic and poetic way with a musical score and notes indicating the different villages that make up the municipality.
The whole forms a beautiful, inseparable, and complementary balance.
